Originally from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Fr. Fischer studied at Saint Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, PA, and was ordained to the Priesthood in 2015. He started ministry in Hanover, PA, and was then made Pastor of Divine Redeemer Church in Mount Carmel, as well as Supervisor of the Mother Maria Kaupas Center, in June of 2018.

Jake Betz, director of the Mother Maria Kaupas Center, is lifelong resident of the Mount Carmel area. He retired in 2015 after a journalism career at The News-Item in Shamokin, PA spanning 40-plus years.
